About the Author

I think most of what I have to say was covered in the welcome to blog4booty.com article I made when I first installed this blog. However, It seems as though you would like to know more. So here goes…

I was born in 1983 and have been addicted to the internet ever since the AOL 2.5 and Windows 3.1 days. I have been interested in internet technologies and computers all my life. When I was younger, my uncle had sent me this enormous heavy computer without a GUI. I don’t remember the OS (wasn’t dos) or what type of computer it was but I remember typing in commands and learning whatever I could about it. I loved it immediately.

Eventually my parents saved up enough money to get us a computer with Windows 95. Because I wasn’t able to get on the internet I convinced my parents to get me my own phone line since I was on the phone so much and I moved the computer into my room and began to use my friends AOL accounts and some phished. I taught myself HTML in the 6th grade eventually getting my own web page up on geocities.

From there, I continued to mess around as a casual hobby until I began teaching myself CSS. Then it was PHP. From there I began working with a partner to develop integrations between 3rd party programs and GNU software. That didn’t last long because of the schedule I had though, I learned a lot. I experimented with a few websites at the time and eventually started experimenting heavily with a site I currently own, www.binarygangster.com. This is where I do most of my experimentation and SEO testing. It’s sort of going to be my home base of sorts. I run a basketball forum there as well as a basketball blog on that URL. It’s not very optimized and probably won’t be for a while. Since the forum is pretty popular and the blog has been getting a decent amount of traffic I have thought of switching it over to a new domain but I think it’s fine for now. I think testing SEO improvements on a non-ideal environment prove the potential of such improvements.

Having a popular website as a home base will work out for me. I’m also interested in nerdcore rap and plan on rapping more as binary gangster. I’ll continue to make music and will eventually split the site if necessary. I know that won’t be good for SEO but I feel that I often learn best by learning how to fail and how to correct those failures. I feel that having a public SEO playground will only further develop my abilities to produce content that will enable myself to learn as much as possible which will in turn help others learn as much as possible. It also keeps the mistakes here to a minimum.
